- growing iron-doped indium-antimonide semiconductors via RF magnetron sputtering; investigating the effects of substrate temperature and target composition on sample growth
- developing a technique to study samples magnetic properties (by way of the Kerr Effect)
- measuring samples magneto-resistive properties (using the van der Pauw method)
- building and modifying basic electronics components, as necessary
