• growing iron-doped indium-antimonide semiconductors via RF magnetron sputtering; investigating the effects of substrate temperature and target composition on sample growth
• developing a technique to study samples magnetic properties (by way of the Kerr Effect)
• measuring samples magneto-resistive properties (using the van der Pauw method)
• building and modifying basic electronics components, as necessary

• synthesizing a variety of amidines for the study of salt-bridge hydrogen bonds
• using standard organic laboratory practices (NMR, recrystallization, rotary evaporation, purification, etc.)
